Thou art the all auspicious Shiva (Shakti aspect), the bountiful;
I prostrate myself at Thy feet.
O Triyambaks (Three eyed one), Gauri (the one with a fair complexion, Parvathi) Naraayani.

Thou are the auspicious Shiva (Spouse of Shiva) the bountiful. I prostrate myself at the feet. O - Tryambaka (Spouse of Tryambaka - Shiva who has three eyes). Guari (the one with fair yellowish complexion, Parvati), Narayani (the sister of Lord Narayana). This prayer is to Mother Parvati.

Story (related to Stotra)
Goddess Parvati has motherly affection for her devotees. She is auspicious and blesses her devotees by removing their delusion and protecting them.

Once a Brahmin boy named Narendranath was bathing in the river Yamuna. Suddenly there came a crocodile and caught hold of the boy. The boy began to call the Goddess Parvati. He cried in such a sympathetic tone, that the Goddess on Kailash Mountain was moved. She came rushing to the spot. She showered all Her strength, Knowledge and auspicious upon him in order to save the boy. The strength of her austerity was so great that it made the boy shine with effulgence, which the crocodile could not stand. The crocodile left Narendranath and disappeared in the water.

We are all like Narendranath caught by the crocodile of delusion, while trying to swim the waters of worldly ocean. If we pray to Goddess Parvati, who is Auspicious, Mercy and Bliss, then she bestows upon us such strength that helps us to escape the delusion and to get liberation.

The ' L I T T L E ' Things~

As you might remember, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.

One of them missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time
to change.

One's car wouldn't start.

One couldn't get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.

stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today..

Now when I am stuck in traffic ,
Miss an elevator, turn back to
answer a ringing telephone ...
All the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself, this is exactly where

God wants me to be at this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong ,

The children are slow getting dressed,
You can't seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light,
Don't get mad or frustrated;
It May be just that God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you with all those annoying
little things
And may you remember their possible purpose.

Ram Kabir!

Hope you may have a wonderful life to enjoy!

Here I have one small conversation between the father and his small son to share with you.

It might possible you have read elsewhere b4 but still the hidden message in this conversation is really such which can change our perspective towards every things we have and we have not yet.

As one of the philosopher John Lubbock said___ What we see depends mainly on what we look for

but I say there is always scope for empowering our perspective , not only our own but also those around us.
Be open to looking at things in a new way

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the

'It was great, Dad.'

'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.

'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father

The son answered:
I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?

Be the change:

Life is not about feeling unhappy always, its about being happy with what we have

First off - great job! The site looks very clean, neat, and professional. Thank you for all of your work in putting it together. As Nareshbhai requested, below are some comments for the staff regarding the website.

1. To appear more inclusive, we should delete the sentence that starts “In the process…”
2. For Events, instead of pull-down menus, might be easier to navigate if you had hyperlinks with list of events. That way without clicking, you can see all the events that are posted
3. Bhakta Youth Conference Text should read: “The Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj of USA’s Youth conference will be held in Long Beach, CA from July 1 thru July 5th, 2006. This event is hosted by the Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj of Southern California and the Bhakta Youth Group. The registration date has been extended to April 30th, 2006. Please visit www.bhaktayouth.com for further details. “

Thanks and keep up the good work!
